A short, plain-language privacy note.

The contact form

When you send the contact form, your message travels through Cloudflare (which hosts this website) to Resend, an email delivery service, which delivers it to Brendan’s inbox and sends you a copy. Neither this website nor Cloudflare stores the message; Resend keeps a delivery log for a limited period under its own privacy policy. If direct delivery is unavailable, the form instead opens a prefilled draft in your own email app, and nothing is sent until you press send. If you arrived from a campaign link (for example an Instagram post), that campaign tag is kept in your browser tab for the visit and added to the message as a “Found via” line; it is not sent anywhere else.

The general questionnaire

The questionnaire on the Start a Project page is part of this website. While you work through it, your answers are saved in your own browser only (local storage on your device, not a cookie) so you can come back to them; they stay there until you send them, choose “Start over”, or two weeks pass, and nothing leaves your device until you press Send. When you do, your answers travel through Cloudflare (which hosts this website) to a database provided by Supabase, a hosting service, where they are stored on Brendan’s behalf under Supabase’s own privacy policy; only Brendan can read them there. A copy is also emailed to Brendan’s inbox through Resend, which sends you a confirmation as well and keeps a delivery log for a limited period under its own privacy policy. He uses your answers to understand your business and prepare for your project, and keeps them only for as long as that takes. If sending fails, the form offers to open a draft in your own email app instead, and nothing is sent until you press send.

Cookies and analytics

Rook Creations does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising or tracking pixels. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties. Page views, clicks on things like the contact form and project links, and how far visitors get through the questionnaire (which step, never what was typed or chosen) are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other sites; only aggregate figures are recorded, such as which pages are visited, which links are used, roughly where visitors are from, and which campaign link (for example an Instagram post) brought them here.

The questionnaire keeps your in-progress answers in your browser’s local storage, described above. That is not a cookie: it is never sent along with page requests, and neither this site’s host nor anyone else can read it.

How information is used

Anything you share is used to respond to your inquiry and to plan and carry out design work. It is not sold, and it is not shared with third parties for marketing.
